The Crooked River below Bowman Dam is running high at 1,090 CFS due to irrigation season, making wading dangerous and conditions challenging. Bank fishing with heavy nymphs and streamers in protected eddies and slower pockets is the most productive approach today.

Water temp is a perfect 55.4°F so fish are healthy; monitor USGS gauge 14087400 and plan your return trip when flows drop back to the 200–400 CFS range, likely mid-to-late July.
