The Crooked River tailwater is running elevated at 1,160 CFS but remains a top bet thanks to a perfect water temp of 55°F. Midges and early caddis are the key hatches right now — go subsurface with Zebra Midges and Pheasant Tail Nymphs during the day, and switch to an Elk Hair Caddis or Parachute Adams in the evening. Wade carefully on higher flows.
